Rice .. burger?

Korean fast food: the epitome of occidental fusion. Bulgogi burger. Shrimp burger. Squid burger. Do these items sound original? Ok, if not, then try this: vegi. rice bulgogi burger. Similar to those in America, Korean fast food chains feature similar items: children sets, combo meals, calorie deals... you name it! As I see it, the only difference between a Lotteria and a McDonalds is the altercation of foods to meet the distinct taste buds of Koreans. Hence, Korean fast food happens to feature items that are commonly found in traditional Korean cuisine: chicken, seafood, builgogi, etc.

Even American fast food chains modify their menu for Koreans. McDonalds and Burger King carry drumsticks complementary with sweet & sour sauce. Green tea beverages and kiwi McFlurries dominate the boards. Patbingsoo and fruitbowls are found in the desserts section.

Although these menu selections may seem unappealing to some, many international customers actually enjoy such products. A friend of mine from California called in last week craving a shrimp burger.. you never know, give Korean fast food a try!
