Han River

Running through the center of Seoul, the Han River comes alive at night with glimmering lights and a unique atmosphere. When the weather warms up in Seoul, the Han River provides a great escape with cooling winds and a refreshing environment. The night views of the city lights create a dreamy effect. The ferry cruise departs from four areas along the Han, but the most well known departure point is in Yeoido, which is less than just a five-minute walk from Yeouinaru Station on subway line 5. This popular area has a variety of facilities; bikers and inline skaters can easily be seen taking advantage of the smooth paved paths along the river. The Young Couple Arrives Riverside

6:00 p.m.– Dinner at a Nearby Restaurant Several floating restaurants line the river. Min-hee and her friend chose the Western-style restaurant, Nodeul Family Restaurant. The prices here are slightly higher than average, but the quality and atmosphere are worth it. Located on the second floor, river views are spectacular in the evening. 7:30 p.m. –Board Han River Ferry Cruise Boat As the sun goes down, the Han River becomes a romantic place with the city lights aglow and soft winds blowing. Many young couples enjoy riding the ferry cruise boat in the evening hours for this reason. People can choose to sit inside or out; the first floor, front section of the boat offers great views.

▒ How and where to buy ferry cruise tickets 1. Reservations cannot be made. You must take the next available ferry. Tickets can be purchased up to ten minutes before departure time. 2. There are two ferry ports in Yeouido:- Nodeul Port : 1~3 minute walk to boarding area. - Jinseong Port: 4~6 minute walk to boarding area. 3. The ferry cruise ship requests that you write your name and passport number on the back of your ticket in case an accident should occur.

8:30 p.m. – Drinks along the River Many city goers escape to the grassy areas along the river for a late-night picnic on hot days. There are several food stands located nearby that sell beverages and snacks. Many of these shops are open 24 hours and offer the same prices. Subway line 5 operates until around 1:00 a.m. in the morning (lines 1~4 run until around midnight), so there’s no need to rush!
