Tourists in Seoul may wonder how to spend their evenings. One of the most recommended spots is Lotte World, which is open day and night all year round. At night, it is open from 5 pm to 11 pm.

An indoor theme park connected with Lotte Hotel and Lotte Department Store, Lotte World is the Korean recreation center most frequently visited by foreigners. Lotte World consists of the indoor amusement park “Adventure” and an outdoor one as well, dubbed “Magic Island.” The outdoor Magic Island has numerous, thrill-packed attractions. Even the castle itself is an awesome background for photographs. At the indoor facility, “Adventure,” the World Carnival Parade is held from 7:30 pm to 8 pm and the Cosmos Circus Laser Show at 9:30 pm. Description: Long queues often form for popular rides, meaning you could end up missing the performances in Adventure. Among the rides with the longest queues are Conquistador, Flume Ride, French Revolution, and Bungee Drop. You may want to switch to less popular, but romantic attractions like the Carousel or the Balloon ride. If you prefer live performances to thrilling rides, you may want to try the Live Show from 9:50 pm to 10:30 pm after the Cosmos Circus Laser Show.

From left, Heo Seok, Ko Young-shin, and Seo Se-a Reporter : Will each of you tell me which ride you enjoyed the most? Heo Seok : The Gyrodrop, of course! When you go up 80 meters above the ground, you can see Seokchon Lake and everything around it. Once you get to the top, the Gyrodrop goes around for a few seconds, and that's really scary. Actually, when you go down, you just close your eyes and you’re there at the bottom, but when you’re at the top, you can almost hear your heart beating as the ride goes around. Ko Young-shin : I don’t really like scary rides, so I liked the carousel best. Isn’t that romantic? I think couples will really enjoy it. Seo Se-a : Hmm~~~ but still, when you’re in an amusement park, you have to enjoy the thrills! I enjoyed the Gyrodrop, but the Gyro Swing was really the most awesome. It swings right and left, and spins all around… Even though you’re wearing a transparent helmet, the sound of the wind is so loud. I felt a thrill going through my whole body.

Reporter : Which event did you guys like the most? Heo Seok, Seo Se-a : The World Carnival Parade! Reporter : How was the Cosmos Circus Laser Show? Seo Se-a : I preferred the World Carnival Parade. The Laser Show was pretty with all the colorful lights on the trees around the ice rink, but I didn’t think the show was that interesting. Heo Seok : Maybe we’ve seen it too many times. Reporter : What about you Young-shin? Ko Young-shin : I think children and romantic types would like it.
