Subak Hwache, a well-known Korean fruit punch made out of watermelon, is definitely a treat during the hot summertime. And really, it's literally made out of watermelon. The fruit is cut in half, hollowed out by a scooper, and then filled with watermelon bits, ice, punch and other fruits. It kind of resembles the sourdough chowder bowls back in the states, only that the insides are filled with cool, refreshing punch and not hot soup. What a perfect drink to complement your main dish! And no, the watermelon skin is not edible like the sourdough bowls.
