State-of-the-art cruise ship sets sail at Gangneung Jumunjin Port

A new cruise vessel, “RISABU,” will take its maiden voyage on July 29th following a special opening ceremony. The three-deck ship weighs 754 tons and can accommodate up to 704 passengers.

The first deck of the vessel houses a large performance hall, where a number of entertainment events take place (including a magic show and an acrobatic show). On the upper deck of the ship, there is a wine bar and café; the third deck offers passengers an unobstructed view of the East Sea and the beautiful nighttime view of Gyrongpo Beach.

The Dinner Cruise, (offered on Saturdays only) features the added bonus of an extensive buffet and a dinnertime fireworks display.

Cruises will be operated twice a day starting from mid-August and will be increasing in frequency in the following months. The ship departs from Jumunjin Port, goes to Gyeongpo Beach, and loops around, returning to Jumunjin Port.
