Introduction

Apgujeong is one of the most popular areas in Seoul for shopping. Stores here carry everything from luxury brands to discounted items, as well as accessories and shoes. There is also an established niche of both dermatology and plastic surgery clinics. and numerous hair salons. Many stores feature unique designs and sell one-of-a-kind items. Although the area is enormously popular among young trendsetters, there seems to be an increase in older crowds as well, due largely in part to the area's overall laid-back feel. Rodeo Street has many cafes that make for great vantage points to watch the stream of stylish passerbys; celebrity sightings are not uncommon. Shoppers can either head straight to Galleria Department Store or walk to the nearby side streets to look for the latest in trendy apparel. Those in search of upscale brand names, should stick to Galleria. The lavish department store carries a host of products including Prada, Armani, Ferragamo, Gucci and Versace. The best time to shop is in January, April, July, October and December, as many shops offer discounts ranging from 20 to 30 percent. Apgujeong also features a wide selection of restaurants and bars; everything from eastern fusion to traditional western meals are available. For music lovers, 'Once In A Blue Moon' jazz cafe is hugely popular for both couples and larger groups. For young club goers, both Club Answer and Club Circle are new to the area and are always busy on weekends.

During the cultural festivals in Apgujeong the stores give out sample goods or give special discounts to customers. 3. Avoid shopping during weekends as it gets very crowded then. 4. For buying luxury goods, try to shop during the sale periods. Sale periods of the Luxury Hall in Galleria pepectment store are in January, April, July, October and December with 20-30% discounts. However, the sale periods are subject to change, and it would be wise to check beforehand.
