Visitors to Gwanghwamun in Seoul may now enjoy a range of performances and cultural facilities at discounted prices with the purchase of a single ticket.
‘Sejong Belt’ is comprised of 50 tour packages, each of which includes visits to historical & cultural facilities near Gwanghwamun Gate as well as tickets to a number of nearby cultural art performances. On August 12th, the Sejong Belt Ticket & Information Center will open at Haechi Madang, Gwanghwamun Gate, not only selling tickets, but providing visitors with specifics on individual packages.
Sejong Belt, established in August, 2009, is an umbrella organization of 31 cultural art entities located near Gwanghwamun Square. The association includes 15 performance centers: the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts; 5 museums including the Seoul Museum of History and Bank of Korea Museum; 5 Art Galleries such as the Seoul Museum of Art and Gallery Hyundai; and 6 different public agencies & partners like Korea Tourism Organization and Seoul City Government.
Sejong Belt travel packages are categorized by area, time and theme and offer 20~50% off regular ticket prices. Travel packages are revised each month. At the ticket center (open year-around from 10:30 to 20:30) professional cultural art coordinators are available to help visitors choose a program that is tailored to their specific needs. Assistance is available in 4 different languages (Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese) and a range of multi-media services and information on locations and tourist attractions are provided.
