If you don’t have enough time to go all the way to the beach or think it’s too pricy to go to a tanning salon, head to Ttukseom Hangang Park to get that perfect deep summer’s tan.
Seoul City recently finished the construction of a tanning area at Ttukseom Hangang Park, a project which began last year. Facilities opened for a trial run from July 24th (Sat) to 30th (Fri), with the official grand opening taking place on July 31st.
The tanning area is equipped with 150 chaise lounges, a sandy beach, and artificial grass. For a very affordable price, visitors can enjoy a premier outdoor tanning experience and spend the whole day soaking in the sun while lounging along the scenic banks of the Hangang River.
The tanning area is open from 10:00 to 18:00 and the admittance fee is 5,000won (an additional 5,000won must be paid as a deposit and will be returned to you upon leaving the tanning area). A changing room and shower booth are available free of charge.
Show off your new tan at the nearby Ttukseom Swimming Pool, which includes numerous leisure facilities such as the children’s pool, Aqua Ring, and Spiral Tunnel. Take a dip in the water or relax under the pavilions or parasols. With a small fee of only 3,000won (for children from 6 to 12), 4,000won (teens 13 to 18) or 5,000won (for adults 19 and above), Ttukseom along Hangang is the perfect place to spend a hot summer’s day!
