The Busan International Magic Festival is back and better than ever for its fifth consecutive year! This one-of-a-kind magic show is scheduled to be held at the Haeundae Beach and BEXCO from August 4th (Wed) to 8th (Sun) and will star 100 world-renowned magicians from 17 different countries. Running under the banner “Creative Play” the festival is a chance for famous magicians to take the stage and show off their amazing talents. Major events include the Busan International Magic Competition, Magic Lecture, and exhibitions honoring magicians of the past.
This year promises to be an even grander event than in the past, with an impressive number of renowned magicians coming in from overseas and an increased variety of free programs such as the Fringe Magic Show, Magic “Free” Show, and Busking Magic (held at Haeundae Event Square). This year also brings with it the Daytime Gala Show, the daytime counterpart of the original Night Magic Gala Show.
Festival highlights include the International Magic Competition, an amazing mix of masterful performances, and a range of events/presentations to help festival attendees better explore the world of magic. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the General Magic Class (where you can learn the basics of magic), the Dealer Booth (where you can purchase all the tricks of the trade), the Magic Poster Exhibition (where you can learn the history and the development of magic), and the Magic Art Experience Center (exhibiting fun optical illusions).
